Once, Shivaji Maharaj is the founder of the Maratha Empire got the news that 200 top arabian horse  ponies alongside certain wealth had arrived at Bahadurgad (in Pedgaon). Bahadur Khan was the officer of the stronghold around then. Shivaji Maharaj intended to plunder the ponies and the wealth. He coordinated a power of 9000 and isolated it into two-one of 2000 and the other of 7000. Bahadur Khan came to think about the proposed attack of Shivaji Maharaj and kept the primary door of the fortification open and arranged his power. In any case, Shivaji Maharaj himself had masterminded the spilling of Marathas' arrangement of assaulting Bahadurgad. As needs be, 2000 Marathas entered the post through the primary door. The attentive Mughals assaulted the Marathas. Notwithstanding, Marathas were not keen on battling and withdrew. Bahadur Khan began pursuing them. This was actually what Shivaji Maharaj needed. The fortification was left vulnerable. The second bunch of 7000 Marathas assaulted Bahadurgad. They immediately got hold of the 200 Arab ponies and the wealth, and fled. Besides, Bahadur Khan couldn't seize the withdrawing Marathas known for their speed and exceptionally versatile nature of tasks. Marathas were fruitful in misdirecting Bahadur Khan and the Mughal forces.
